Coaching

How is this different from a life coach, executive coach or wellness app?

Dr. Scott is a practicing emergency-medicine physician with twenty years of clinical experience and dual board certification in Internal and Emergency Medicine. She is also a Wellcoaches®-certified health and wellness coach. The work combines what a coach can do (behavior change, accountability, vision) with what a physician can do (clinical interpretation, risk stratification, emergency triage). Most wellness apps optimize for engagement. Dr. Scott optimizes for your biology.

What does a typical engagement look like?

A six-month engagement includes a clinical baseline intake (labs, history, risk assessment), a written Personal Health Vision & Mission, six monthly 60-minute sessions, asynchronous check-ins between sessions, and a close-out assessment. Twelve-month engagements add a second cycle focused on defense and crisis-preparedness. Introductions begin with a free 30-minute consultation.

Is this covered by insurance or HSA/FSA?

Executive wellness coaching is generally not covered by insurance. Some clients are able to use HSA/FSA funds for the clinical portion of the engagement; Dr. Scott can provide documentation where appropriate. For organizations, engagements are typically billed through the executive-development or leadership-coaching budget rather than health benefits.

What does it cost?

Engagements are priced by application. Coaching sits in a range commensurate with top-tier executive coaching; advocacy retainers are structured separately. Every introductory call includes a frank conversation about fit, value and alternatives — if Dr. Scott is not the right answer, she will tell you.

Speaking

What do you prefer — keynote, workshop or a full-day masterclass?

Most in-demand: a 60-minute keynote paired with one or two 90-minute workshops for a leadership cohort. Dr. Scott also delivers executive roundtables (small, conversational, board-level) and interactive women’s-leadership programs. Content can be customized and provided in advance for regulatory or compliance review.

Will she customize the talk for our industry?

Yes. Program planning begins with a listening call with your leadership. Where useful, we survey the audience anonymously on stress, health and work-life indicators and weave the results into the talk. This is one reason average post-session ratings run 4.93 / 5.0.

What does a speaking engagement cost?

Speaking fees are set by application and depend on format, travel and preparation required. Please submit your event details for a proposal within one business day.

Advocacy

What counts as an "active medical episode" for advocacy?

A serious new diagnosis, a complex or time-sensitive condition, a consequential surgical decision, a second-opinion need, or any situation where the healthcare system has become more confusing than clarifying. Advocacy is also available preventively — to build your Health Leadership Team before you need one.

If this is urgent, should we call now?

For a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. For non-urgent inquiries, email Dr. Scott directly and she will respond personally.
